Overview

The Holloway BESS is a 250 MW 2-4 Hrs battery project near Armidale, just 650 m from the Armidale Substation. Located in the New England Renewable Energy Zone, the project will help store excess renewable energy and release it during peak demand to support a more stable and reliable grid.

Covering around 3 hectares, the battery units will be low in height and constructed over approximately 12 months. The project will also bring local benefits through job creation, infrastructure upgrades, and support for local businesses.
